What is ePubPros?
It's a private email discussion list by invitation only. Started in 1999 as the EPUB discussion email list for email publishers only, the list has evolved over the years to include topics from email newsletter, to web development and information e-publishing.
Chris Knight's "ePubPros" is a thought leadership think tank or brain trust...that operates much like a sounding whiteboard for discussion regarding email or web publishing business issues/models.
ePubPros covers cutting-edge, technology related email and web publishing issues, without the very specific technical explanation as to how to execute specific technologies discussed (You've got your own IT/programming team for this, right?). Consider this the technologic visionaires private pool where nerds/geeks are free to collaborate or discuss ways to use new publishing tools.
Who's an Ideal ePubPros Member?
- Ideal ePubPros candidates include entrepreneurs to enterprise level executives with sales/revenue in the 6, 7 or 8 figures annually
- 3+ years of earning the majority of your earnings from online/Internet-based revenue channels
- Willingness to invest energy in sharing or posting frequently (ePubPros members that don't post or fail to add value to the collective group will be asked to leave or be removed)
- Early adopter mentality - willingness to explore new technologies or processes.
- Previous experience or participation in other high volume email discussion list communities (public or private)
How Can I Join ePubPros?
Membership is by invitation only.
Are There Any Archives Online?
Sorry, no. To protect each member's privacy, no archives are kept.
Are There Any Rules That ePubPros Members Must Follow?
- All discussions on the list are private and not to be forwarded ever.
- No out of office autoresponders are allowed.
- No challenge/response members are allowed.
- Blatant self-promotion will not be tolerated
- Substantial participation is required throughout the year
- "Me-Too" posts should be avoided, along with flame wars and other wastes of time
Is The Discussion List Moderated?
Members are free to post without moderation. It's assumed that members are intermediate to advanced with respect how to participate in an email discussion list forum.
Are There Any Costs To Join ePubPros?
One mil,Billion, zillion dollars, yeah...that's the cost. Seriously, the price to be included in Chris Knight's ePubPros private discussion list is that you must emotionally invest in the group (by participating frequently) and be willing to help your fellow ePubPro members out without always needing to be self-promoting.
